Owner's Biography -
Executive Producer, Kurt Wenger, earned his Radio/ TV/ Film major at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Kurt directed his first film project, Skate Punk, before taking his first "hands on" class. Skate Punk took grand prize in the experimental category of the 1998 National Broadcast Society Competition. Kurt was fortunate to not only find experienced instruction, but an opportunity to work with an instructor/ mentor who had substantial work experience in the film industry in Hollywood. Upon graduation in 2000, Kurt was honored to receive one of only two awards given by the Film Department that year. This Cinematic Achievement award was specifically created for him to recognize the impressive number of films, music videos, and other creative projects he completed, as well as his active participation in assistant teaching, while finishing required coursework.
Immediately after college, Kurt was able to benefit from contacts he had made while working freelance on summer breaks, to land a full time position as a photographer and video editor. His responsibilities grew to include writing proposals and completing all aspects of corporate video projects and customer service responsibilities. In 2001 the capabilities of DVD and CD-Rom were growing, and limitations of this company's equipment gave him the motivation to start his own business offer these services.
With his creative passion and dedication to the field now confirmed, Kurt started Drop Frame Productions, Inc. He has since worked on feature films, 35mm national television commercials, created Telly Award-winning sales videos, shot aerial video from helicopter, and distributed thousands of DVD copies to each client's satisfaction. With the recognition of national awards Kurt's work ranks with the finest in the professional video industry.
